When helping juniors first learn golf, I always start with the short swing and a focus on accuracy. Most kids have seen the professionals and think golf is about distance. By starting with smaller swings (short game), juniors develop accuracy. Focusing on smaller swings and then moving to the full swing allows juniors to get the feel for swinging (body movements) and ultimately leads to more powerful and accurate full swing. Barbara R.
