While playing with a friend the other day he said to me after seeing me hit my driver "When you take the club too far back on your backswing it's a lot more distance you have to cover to get back to the ball, try shortening up your back swing." So, today I did just that. I shortened up my backswing and honed my follow-thru. Boy what a difference. My drives went straight. \o/ Thanks Rich.
Tom Cannarozzo, a PGA Teaching Professional and founder of Syncronized Golf has a video on Youtube that clarifies that concept.
I also found an amazing drill video by one of my favourite web instructor Mr. Jeff Ritter from Phoenix Arizona entitled "Back Swing Sequence" that is a Must Try!. This drill creates an effortless arm rotation and allows you to feel what it should feels like when our arms are in the correct position when doing your backswing.
