Lately I noticed I was having accuracy issues especially with my short irons. I think I was standing too far from the ball which was causing me to stretch. Today, after taking a few practice swings, I checked how far I was standing from my practice divits to use that as a gauge. When I stepped forward to hit the ball I used that same distance (from where I was standing previously to the practice divit) to locate where I should be standing. I noticed then the distance adjustment gave me more control and accuracy.
