Being relatively new the game, I am often reminded to keep my head down during my swing. In a conversation with my golf instructor I have been advised that most people will tell you to keep your head down but that it is really better to keep your head UP with your eyes down. This advice has worked well for me. When you keep your head up it allows your shoulders to rotate freely underneath your chin without conflict. Keeping your eyes down allows you to see the ball on contact and discourages your head from following the ball. Golf Nut

written by Club Byter on January 20, 2009 Hey Golf Addict, in response to your tip about keeping ones head down, I too have heard a lot about keeping my head down while making my swing. In an article written by Paul Ito for the Golf Tips magazine's online website entitled "Heads UP!" he so eloquently explains why being told to keep your head down to achieving better ball striking capability usually contributes to slicing the ball. He has some really good tips on how to improve your shot by keeping your head up so visit the article at http://www.golftipsmag.com/ins...ds-up.html and see where it leads you.
