Florida A&M University President's Cup Golf Tournament
"It is a pleasure to invite you to participate in the 3rd Annual President’s Cup Golf Tournament. Already heralded as one of the premier golf outings in the Tallahassee area, this year’s President’s Cup will exceed your expectations. Southwood Golf Club, an award-winning Fred Couples designed course, will be the host site of the 2010 tournament. The 2009 President’s Cup golf tournament fielded 31 teams vying for the coveted Cup. This year, we expect an even greater response and have leveled the playing field so that golfers at all levels will have an opportunity to leave as a winner. Your support of the President’s Cup benefits the Presidential Scholarship Program. Florida A&M University (FAMU) has a long history of recognizing outstanding high school graduates for their academic performance. The Presidential Scholarship Program awards partial and full merit-based scholarships. The scholarships are designed to enhance the academic, professional and personal development of each scholar as they strive to meet their academic goals, and to pursue their professional goals upon completion of their undergraduate degree. Scholarships under this program include the Presidential Special Scholarship, Life-Gets- Better Scholarship and the Distinguished Scholars Award, to name a few. We are proud of the University’s continued growth, improvement, innovativeness, and “Excellence With Caring”.
