In my quest to learn more about golf I've been watching the Golf Chanel and most recently their broadcasts about the upcoming lady's tournament, the Solheim Cup.
I am really looking forward to watching the tournament especially since it seems to be so significant in the world of ladies golf and the U.S. teams have dominated the Europeans in the past 10 years. I'm also interested in seeing how the U.S. rookie, Michelle Wie, will perform.
They have made several references to stuff I just don't know about and wonder if anyone can fill in the missing pieces for me and others who may not understand or be familar with all of this.
For instance, what do they mean when they say the tournament is a "Ryder's Cup format?" And, that it is equivalent to the Ryder's Cup but for ladies? They also stated something like "Q" school to the Solheim cup, but I may not have heard correctly as I didn't know what they were talking about to begin with.
Who are your favourate female players for this event and who do you think will win the tournament and by what score?
