In my quest to learn more about golf I've been watching the Golf Chanel and most recently their broadcasts about the upcoming lady's tournament, the Solheim Cup.

With Claudette, the first storm to make landfall in the 2009 hurricane season, brewing off the Florida coast the Florida A&M University President's Cup Golf Tournament was resilient and emerged victorious. It was a very grey and damp morning at Golden Eagle Golf and Country Club in Tallahassee, Florida and the question on the minds of those coordinating and participating in this charitable golfing event was; would the storm impact the tournament? Miraculously the "Golf Gods" smiled favorably on the event and the cloud cover served as an insulator between the players and what otherwise would have been a brutally hot and humid, sunny day. Thanks Golf Gods!
Playing together were seasoned golfers and novices alike, from all over the southeast part of the U.S. This included dignitaries, sponsors, alumnus, faculty, staff, students, and friends of the University who came together for eighteen fun- filled holes with laughter, great conversation, and communal bonding was the thread that connected this charitable event.
